106 - number of jobs i applied for in august

3 - number of months i'm behind on my rent (as of today - happy september to me!)

$1.38 - my current bank balance

$2.51 - what's in my wallet

$5 - cover charge for auto-tune karaoke on saturday night that, as of right now, i'll have to skip because of what's in the bank and what's in my wallet. you should still go, though. i went on my birthday and it was great. yeah, i was unsober and that might have heightened the greatness in my mind, but still...

5 - number of months that passed between the most recent donation i received a couple of weeks ago and the previous donation in march

20 - number of volunteer hours i need to complete between now and my next appointment with a state caseworker in 2 weeks (more on that in another post, maybe)

9 - how many days have elapsed since i emailed my 1st choice of places to volunteer (yes, i'm investigating other places, since the 1st one clearly isn't getting back to me anytime soon)

14 - days i have left to pay comcast some (if not all) of what i owe them so they won't disconnect my shit

wanna contribute to the fun? of course you do. you're dying to make up for those 5 months of no donations. i can tell. you really want to help me stay on teh interwebz so i can keep looking for jobs. you know how important it is to have at least one of my phones in service so potential employers can call me. and, of course, you want to help me avoid eviction so i don't have to crash with you. these are all important things to you. if they weren't important to you, you wouldn't be reading this...and since you're here, and since you think these things are important, you might as well click the donate button, or get in touch with me to make an offline donation. think i'm full of shit and/or i'm making all of this up and you'd rather pay one of my bills directly instead? that can totally be arranged. pick an expense (rent, cell phone, landline, internet, renters insurance, etc.) and i'll tell you who to make the check out to.

sorry for veering off into quasi-rant territory there, but i keep getting the feeling that some folks out there seem to think i'm doing this for shits & giggles. i'm so not.
